Caught the Olympics Table Tennis match for the gold medal. Man, that's what I call table tennis sports. Look at how the ball curves and how the sportwomen smack. The specatators were constantly on their toes because the scores were simply too close. Like how often do you see two match points? Wang Nan was full of emotions. On the other hand, quotes the commentator: the only time Zhang Yi Ning gives the camera an expression would be the time where she misses a ball and reprimands herself.

The Jamaica women's team for 100x4 relay didn't take home any medal. You could really see their disappointed faces. One runner in the team miscalculated her time and almost ran out of the 20m baton box.

I wonder how do the sports people really feel, upon reaping the fruits of their labour after 4 years of blood and sweat. To realise that there is a high possibility of not getting any title despite all the effort put into training.

I heard the sound of fireworks at 9 plus. Then I got reminded of the past. But I quickly told myself, somehow, some day, some time, I'll get to see them again.

I have friends asking me every now and then, "Jessie are you really ok already?" I asked God the same question too. He told me, trust Him. Stay close to Him and in time to come I'll know that He is God. One thing for sure, He never abandons me :) Everytime when I feel rebellious, He sends people to get me back on course. Nigel, though I know you'd say you didn't feel you did anything, we both know you were God-sent. The funny things my papa can do just to wake me up once again.

Yesterday night I got bored of reading company law. I randomly took out my primary school songbook which was nicely tucked at the corner of the table with my other stack of books. Yes you didn't read wrongly, my primary school songbook. The dark blue one with a picture of an angel playin a harp. Heh don't ask me why did I keep it, I totally have no idea :D

I flipped through the pages of the book, and a small boxful of memories came flooding back. How we used to hold the book in our hands to look at the lyrics of the school creed, and how we used to criticise teachers who made us read the sample prayers at the back of the book for being lazy. I bet I haven't sung many songs for like 10 whole years. But I didn't find it a waste of time to put away my law text and embrace this old, dusty book with yellowing pages. Those simple words that a child would sing were exactly the very words that I needed to draw me back to my Father whom I've strayed from during the course of the week.

I was elated when I saw the song If I Were a Butterfly. You know the one "If I were a butterfly, I'd thank You Lord for giving me wings...and if I were a fuzzy wuzzy bear, I'd thank You Lord for my fuzzy wuzzy hair" :) Gosh, I can't believe I sang that ever so often a decade ago. And how the pupils loved to sing It Only Takes a Spark because of the echo-ing parts. I think my PL friends would know best what I'm talking about. The list is non-exhaustive, but I'll just make an attempt to identify the songs that I know how to sing:

Abba Father (let me be yours and yours alone)
Amazing Grace (how sweet the sound)
A New Commandment (I give unto you)
